PURPOSE: A business method and instrument for providing encrypted moving file and a computer readable medium having stored thereon computer executable instruction for performing the method is provided to protect illegal copy by inserting encrypted header. CONSTITUTION: A user(30) can connect the web server(40) of the service provider(10), which constructs video information DB(50), user information DB(60), and video usage information DB(70), using Internet. An application server does encryption using data of the DBs by inserting header. The encryption device consists of a header separating part, a usage information generation part, a header attaching part, an encryption module and a data attaching part. The service provider can transmit the video using Internet or send it as a package. The user must use an exclusive device to play the video with decryption. To encrypt header the video file should be separated as header and data. The header should be encrypted and attached with the data. For encryption symmetric key or asymmetric key can be used. The video file cannot be played more than permitted play times. The key, which is used for decryption, is already stored in the exclusive device and the decryption method must be the same as the encryption method. The record media can be ROM, RAM, CD-Rom, magnetic tapes, floppy disks, optical data storage media and carrier wave. The media can be distributed using distributed system.
