PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can adjust the density of an attached image such as a stamp image, so as to prevent reading of an original image from being disturbed, even when the attached image is superimposed on the original image and to eliminate the need for setting entry of a printing position of the attached image thereby simplifying a task of inserting the attached image and can insert the attached image to an optional position, without being affected by the size of the attached image and the layout of characters and graphics in the original image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with an attached image storage section 3 that stores at least one attached image data 2, an original image input section 4 that inputs image data of an original, a density adjustment section 5 that adjusts the density of the attached image data 2 stored in the attached image storage section 3, and an image compositing section 6 that composites the attached image data 2 subjected to the density adjustment by the density adjustment section 5 with the original image data inputted by the original image input section 4. The attached image data 2 is to be multi- valued image data. |
