PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sill throating capable of constructing an external wall plate accurately, easily, and inexpensively and an external wall construction structure using the same. SOLUTION: This external wall construction structure 5 consists of the long sill throating 1 arranged in a sill part 51 of a building, the external wall plate 2, and a fastening fitting 3. The sill throating 1 has a back plate 11 for fixation fixed to a furring strip 4, a front plate 12 arranged on its front face together, and a bottom plate 13 connecting the back plate 11 for fixation with the front plate 12. The front plate 12 has a weatherboard 14 protruding forward. A recessed clearance part 15 is formed among the back plate 11 for fixation, the bottom plate 13, and the front plate 12. The fastening fitting 3 has a basic board part 31, a supporting part 32 supporting the external wall plate 2, and a leg part 33 provided in the basic board part 31. In the fastening fitting 3, a lower part of the basic board part 31 is inserted and arranged in the recessed clearance part 15 of the sill throating 1.
