METHOD FOR ADJUSTING DISPLAY LUMINANCE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for adjusting display luminance of a liquid crystal display element bringing into little variance, treatable within a short period and being simple and easy. SOLUTION: In relation to driving voltage and transmission luminance, a characteristic curve 14 for a checked mosaic display and a characteristic curve 13, expressing a mean value of a characteristic curve 12 for a black display and a characteristic curve 11 for a white display, are detected with visual examination or with an optical measuring device. An optimal offset value of driving voltage is obtained from the intersection point of the characteristic curves 14, 13.
