A self-propelled aerial work platform, with low profile, transported by means of an automobile which has an articulated boom assembly as parallelogram (5), including a lower boom assembly having pairs of compression arms (9) and tension arms (10) pivotally connected between a support frame (1) in the vehicle and a floating frame (11), and an upper boom assembly having pairs of compression arms (16) and tension arms (17) pivotally connected between the floating frame (11) and a riser (6) connected with the nearest end of the assembly of telescopic boom (7) having a work platform (8) connected to its far end. The ends of the tension arms (17, 10) in the upper and lower boom assemblies connected by pivot means to the floating frame (11), share the same pivotal connection (15), so that when the articulated assembly as parallelogram (5) be in the bending position, the tension arms (17, 10) interlace and situate in the same common plane, so the vehicle could be maneuver through low spaces a t doors, of the order of 2.00m (six feet, seven inches). A synchronization articulation (33) is used at the upper and lower boom assemblies to keep the floating frame (11) in a vertical orientation during rising and bending of the articulated boom assembly as parallelogram (5).
