PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a color image into a natural image having no irregularities automatically. SOLUTION: This image correction device includes an image input part 1 for inputting the color image, a background color detection part 2 connected to the image input part 1, for detecting the background color of the image, a brightness correction part 3 connected to the image input part 1 and the background color detection part 2, for correcting the brightness of the input image so that the brightness of background pixels become uniform, and an image output part 4 connected to the brightness correction part 3, for outputting the image after brightness correction.
