PURPOSE: A method and a system for obtaining and transferring an article in an on-line network game are provided to prevent a dispute between gamers on a specific article and to expand the personal relations of the gamers by limiting the article acquisition of each gamer. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of receiving a specific article providing message to an article receiver from the computer of an article provider on a network game(S140), confirming the qualification of the article receiver by searching a database(S150), confirming the intention of the article receiver via the computer of the article receiver if the receiver gamer is qualified for article reception, and updating the information that the article belongs to the gamer in the database after an article receiving message is received from the computer of the article receiver(S160).
