PURPOSE: A getter of a field emission display and a driving method thereof are provided, which maintain an inside of a high vacuum state by applying an RF signal to the getter. CONSTITUTION: The field emission display(FED) comprises a panel(52), a getter(34) absorbing a gas in the panel, and an RF circuit driving part(54) to maintain a high vacuum state of the inside of the panel by applying an RF signal to the getter. The getter absorbs a gas in the panel to make the inside be in a high vacuum state. And the RF circuit driving part activates the getter for a constant time to maintain a high vacuum state of the inside.
