<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comprehensive microphone/transceiver system which provides a voice activation control for a computer system using a passive and wireless interface which requires no battery power. SOLUTION: The system comprises an interrogator unit 26 which transmits a signal 32, receives a modulated signal 36, and demodulates the modulated signal so that a difference between the transmission signal and the modulated signal corresponds to a unique sound wave signal. Further, an acoustic driving microphone unit is provided which receives the signal from the interrogator unit, modulates the signal using a soundwave signal containing an instruction to control an electronic device, and sends back the modulated signal to the interrogator unit for analysis with a signal processor 48.</p> |
