PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately notify travel time by adding a position detecting means to a portable terminal, sending position detection information as present positional information of the portable terminal, calculating the travel time to a destination on the basis of the present positional information at a center, and sending it to the portable terminal. SOLUTION: In this travel time notifying method using the portable terminal, positional information of a present position and the destination is sent from the portable terminal to the center, the travel time to the destination is calculated at the center, and the calculated travel time is notified. It is characterized by that a position detection function (including reception from an antenna via an adapter) is added to the portable terminal, the position detection information is sent from the portable terminal to the center during traveling, and the center calculates the travel time to the destination using the position detection information sent from the portable terminal as the present positional information and sends the calculated travel time to the portable terminal. |
