PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium pack for a printer of a structure excellent in handlability. SOLUTION: This recording medium pack for the printer has a package 10 in which the recording media 3 to be formed with images are housed and a light shielding member 12 which is disposed in this package 10 and shields the recording medium 3 housed therein from external light. The package 10 is loadable in a cassette attachably and detachably to and from the printer and the light shielding member 12 is removable after the package 10 is loaded into the cassette.
