PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input output system that can effectively utilize scanner data through the use of a general-purpose browser. SOLUTION: In the image input output system, PCs, WSs, FAXs and storage server devices are connected to a digital copying machine 1, having a network interface via a LAN. The image input output system has a function, that transfers all data of an input image to an external storage device 22 provided in this system or a storage server device via a network, and stores only the image data (number of pages) a user desires to use immediately for a valid period and a function that automatically transfers and restores required parts of the image data from the image data stored in the external storage device or the storage server device to an external storage device 21 of the system, when the user desirably uses data not stored in the digital copying machine 1.
