PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cycle characteristic, to enhance electric capacity of a standard shape battery, and to reduce the size and thickness of a battery of given electric capacity. SOLUTION: A compound represented by a formula LixFe1-yMyPO4 (M is one or more kinds from among Mn, Cr, Co, Cu, Ni, V, Mo, Ti, Zn, Al, Ga, Mg, B, or Nb; and 0.05<=x<=1.2, 0<=y<=0.8) is used singularly or compounded with other materials as a positive electrode active material. In this nonaqueous electrolyte battery 1, a cell element 5 is comprised by laminating and winding so that a negative electrode material 3 is positioned on the inner circumferential side and a positive electrode material 2 is positioned on the outer circumferential side and it is housed in an exterior package case 6, and collector exposed parts 2c and 3c where collectors are exposed are provided in at least one of a positive electrode material 2 positioned in an outermost circumference of the cell element 5 facing the exterior package case 6 or a negative electrode material 3 positioned in an innermost circumference of the cell element 5 where the negative electrode material 3 face each other. |
