PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has a high capacity and which is superior in a cycle reversibility, by utilizing a large capacity in the maximum, which amorphous carbon and low crystalline carbon have. SOLUTION: A carbon material having an irreversible capacity of 100 parts by weight and lithium containing complex nitride of 20 to 150 parts by weight expressed in a general formula Li3-XMXN (M: at least one kind selected among the group consisting of Co, Ni, Mn or Cu, 0.2<=X<=0.8), is made to be contained in a negative electrode, thereby the irreversible capacity of the carbon material is compensated by the nitride. |
