PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a picture quality which occurs when generation of high voltage stops. SOLUTION: A converter transformer 2 has a center tap in its primary winding, and supplies high AC voltage produced by its secondary winding to a load. Transistors Tr1, Tr2 are connected between both terminals of the primary winding of the converter transformer 2 and the ground respectively. A transistor Tr3 is connected between the center tap of the primary winding of the converter transformer 2 and a DC power source. When high AC voltage is generated by the converter transformer 2, the transistor Tr3 is turned on, and the transistors Tr1, Tr2 are turned on alternately. When the generation of the high AC voltage by the converter transformer 2 is stopped, the transistor Tr3 is turned off, and both transistors Tr1, Tr2 are turned on. |
