PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception system, with which a user can set its desired function to a program key provided on a remote control transmitter and the cost of the remote control transmitter itself can be reduced. SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver is provided with a key code management table, that stores a function code assigned to each program key code of a key provided on the remote control transmitter and with a means that stores a prescribed program key code of the key provided on the remote control transmitter to the key code management table in relation with a function code corresponding to a function desired by the user, on the basis of the operation of the remote control transmitter by the user.
