PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loss of information by backing up information stored in a hard disk mounted on a vehicle as a countermeasure to fault which is generated with high possibility since the hard disk mounted on a vehicle is used in severer environment than the case where the hard disk is used in a office or a home. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle information terminal equipment equipped with a hard disk unit is provided with a storage medium 2 for backup for backing up the storage data of a hard disk 1, a backup requesting means 5, and a backup processing part 3 processing the transfer of the storage data of the hard disk 1 to the storage medium for backup when the backup of the storage data is requested by the backup requesting means 5.
