PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator for a motor operated valve for opening/closing a flow passage of fluid in which a motor operation and a manual operation can be easily switched and a torque at the time of manual operation is made less. SOLUTION: A speed-reduction mechanism is an epicyclic reduction gear mechanism and a rotation of a rotor of an electro-motive motor can be transmitted to a carrier for eccentrically rotating an epicyclic external gear against a sun internal gear. A manual operation and an electro-motive operation are switched by a mechanism for connecting/disconnecting a rotation of the sun internal gear relative to a housing. At the time of the manual operation, an output shaft, the epicyclic external gear and the sun internal gear are rotated, however, since the carrier and the rotor of the electric motor is not rotated, a valve can be manually opened/closed by a small torque.
