PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistory building, so that the axial-force holding capacity of a column constituting a peripheral skeleton is not lowered, thus ensuring following properties to the layer deformation of the column. SOLUTION: The multistory building is formed of a cylindrical peripheral skeleton, formed along the peripheral section of the building and an inner peripheral skeleton installed inside the peripheral skeleton. The inner peripheral skeleton is formed of a multilayer wall integrally mounted extending over a plurality of floors, and a vibration-control column 5, in which a plurality of columnar bodies 8, 8 and 8 arranged extending over a plurality of the floors via dampers 10, 10 and 10, is used as columns forming the peripheral skeleton.
