PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved electric connector assembly including an optical transmission module for visual indication. SOLUTION: A connector assembly 20 for electrically connecting at least one engaging plug to a circuit board is disclosed. This connector assembly 20 is provided with a housing 26 to be attached to the circuit board, having at least one receptacle 32 on a front face 26a. An independent optical module 24 includes a module housing 46 attached to one side surface 26c of the connector housing 26. A plurality of terminals 52 are attached to the module housing 46, and include connecting portion 52a for connecting the module to the circuit board. At least one of light emission devices LED64, 64A is connected to at least one portion 52b of the terminal 52 apart from the connecting portion 52a to radiate light to the front surface 26a of the connector housing 26. |
