PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulky filament excellent in stretchability and bulkiness, and having voluminousness woolen yarn-like feeling and peculiar touch. SOLUTION: The bulky filament comprising the following tape: a thermoplastic resin laminate is prepared by laminating thermoplastic resins having different melting points; and the tape-shaped laminate is oriented and split in the longitudinal direction; and the fine fibers of the split tape have a bent and amorphously deformed state, and have a bulky fiber bundle-like shape. Further, a method for manufacturing the bulky filament comprising the following steps: thermoplastic resins having different melting points are laminated, and the laminate is slit into specified widths to produce thermoplastic resin laminated tapes; the tapes are oriented by stretching in the longitudinal direction, and split in the longitudinal direction; subsequently, they are subjected to a heat treatment to crimp each of fine fibers produced by splitting the thermoplastic resin laminate tape, and thus the fiber bundle-like filament is obtained.
