PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device with a camera-shake correction function, that allows a photographer to judge the need for recording of a photographed image by acquiring a consecutive camera-shake time, in excess of a camera-shake correction limit, and to provide correction enabled/disabled photographing state to the photographer, after photographing. SOLUTION: The image pickup device having the camera-shake correction function provided with a camera-shake detection section 31, that detects camera-shake amount at exposure and with an image shake correction section 28, that drives an actuator in response to a camera-shake amount detected by the camera-shake detection section 31 for correcting camera-shake, is provided with a count storage section 40 that counts the consecutive time of a drive quantity of the actuator driven by the camera-shake detection section 31, when the drive quantity exceeds a camera-shake correctable range and with an MPU 22, that obtains a total sum of the consecutive times counted by the count storage section 40, judges that the total sum lies outside of the camera- shake correctable range, when the total sum is large with respect to a predetermined threshold and informs the photographer about the need for recording of the photographed image.
