PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where judgment of whether a fixing unit is set or not set can be carried out speedily and surely after connecting of a power source. SOLUTION: In the device, a thermister 13 provided in the fixing unit, an A/D converting means 14 reading the thermister value and carrying out A/D conversion and a set judging means 15 judging whether or not the fixing unit is set to a main body or not by comparing the A/D converted thermister value and a threshold value that is set beforehand are provided and furthermore, a threshold value varying means 16 varying the threshold value are provided.
