PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a plasma display panel surely to a casing or the like as to the supporting structure of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: A plasma display panel is supported with the plural supporting points made to be studded in the longitudinal direction and the lateral direction of the rear substrate of the panel. The supporting pints are set in roughly equal intervals in respective longitudinal direction and lateral direction of the rear substrate. The distance from the one end of the rear substrate to the first supporting point is set so as to become the ratio of 0.37 to 0.40 with respect to the interval S between adjacent two supporting points in the respective longitudinal direction and lateral direction. That is, positions of respective supporting points can be obtained by simple calculation. As a result, it is prevented that positions of supporting points are set based on experience and intuition like in the conventional manner and the number of the supporting points becomes more numerous than needed. Thus, the cost of a plasma display panel device is reduced.
