PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a measuring device capable of improving measuring precision for sudden input change with range switching. SOLUTION: If voltage and current measured by a measuring means 12 are the data of a smaller measuring range than a current measuring range, a control means 14 starts time measurement by a time measuring means 13, and if the data of the small measuring range in a prescribed period of time set by a prescribed period setting means 15 are continuous, measuring range switching means 4, 5 are controlled to switch the measuring range to the smaller measuring range in one stage than the current measuring range. If the data of the small measuring period in the prescribed period are continuous further after the switching, the measuring range switching means 4, 5 are controlled to further switch the measuring range to the smaller measuring range in one stage.
