PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral information display device specifying objects expected to influence traveling of one's vehicle and transmitting them to a driver by highlighting them on a picture image obtained from an image pickup means. SOLUTION: Other vehicles peripherally send information on vehicular traveling positions and traveling speeds obtained from their position evaluating devices 3 via oscillators 5 to transmitters 9 by transmitting antennas 10. One's vehicle receives the information sent by other peripheral vehicles by a receiver 12, combines this with information of a traveling position, a steering wheel angle or the like of one's vehicle obtained from one's vehicle position evaluating device 3 and one's vehicle mounted sensor 4, and specifies object vehicles expected to influence traveling of one's vehicle. Then it specifies sizes, shapes, positions, and areas of the object vehicles on a screen image, scans an actual picture image read by a vehicle mounted camera 13, and displays the object vehicles to the driver by a display method corresponding to existing states of the vehicles inside the picture image.
