INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER BELT FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt for an image forming device which is restrained and prevented from being damaged by simplifying operation to provide a detector on the intermediate transfer belt without causing the peeling of the detector and the lowering of a cleaning function. SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer belt 1 used for the image forming device is a flexible endless belt which can be bent, and the detector 2 whose plane is nearly rectangular is integrally molded on the surface of the belt 1 and its optical characteristic is made different from that of the surface of the belt 1. The detector 2 and the surface of the belt 1 around the detector 2 are made the same plane substantially. Since the detector 2 is integrated on the surface of the belt 1, there is no fear that the cleaning function is hindered because of a situation that the detector 2 is peeled or a cleaning blade is rubbed to be damaged by a level difference associated with the sticking of the detector 2.
