PURPOSE: A method for coating an insulation material on wire by plasma treatment is provided which is capable of thinning a thickness of the insulation material by reinforcing adhesion force between the wire and the insulation material in a method for coating the insulation material on the wire that is used as winding wire of a motor. CONSTITUTION: The method for coating an insulation material on wire by plasma treatment comprises an annealing step(S30) of removing cracks of the hardened internal structure and increasing ductility thereof by slowly cooling the wire after heating wire to an appropriate temperature; a plasma treatment step(S35) of plasma treating the surface of the wire passing through the annealing step in a plasma treatment chamber so as to improve adhesion force between the surface of the wire and the insulation material; and a coating step(S40) of coating the wire with the insulation material, wherein the plasma treatment step is performed by injecting a gas onto the wire as the wire is passing through between electrodes to which a voltage of 0.5 to 20 KV and a current of 0.1 to 30 A are supplied under an atmospheric pressure of 1 atm, and the gas is air, He, Ar, Ne, N2, O2, or a mixed gas of N2 and C2H2.
