PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the reusability of stored document data and to actualize a new use style by making it possible to manage the history of respective document data. SOLUTION: This document data management system wherein a document managing server 30 which stores document data and a client device 20 which generates and edits document data are connected to each other through a network and stores information regarding document data on which document data stored on the document managing server are based as history data while making the former document data correspond to the latter document data.
