PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray-opening/closing detecting device for a disk device which ensures stable switching operation by turning on and off the switch through the means of a belt-like body installed between a chassis and a tray to surely absorb variations in the height between the tray and the switch and can minimize the cost by allowing the use of versatile parts as the switch an decreasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: The belt-like body 6 which is mounted at one end on the lower side of a projecting part 5a for on and off of a body of the switch 5 arranged on a chassis 1 and is mounted at the other end on the under surface of the tray 7, so as to cover the projecting part 5a with the front side from the mounting part is spreaded. When the tray 7 is closed, the belt-like body 6 is put into a loosened state, and when the tray 7 is opened, the belt-like body 6 is put into a spread state in a prescribed position, so that the projecting part 5a of the switch 5 is pushed and turned on by the belt-like body 6 in spreading the belt-like body 6.
