PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that can display a histogram whose display requires a display capacity to a degree in an easy to view way, in response to the desire of a user. SOLUTION: The digital camera, where a liquid crystal display monitor 39 provided to a camera body displays a photographed image and also displays image information items 81, 83, 94 related to the image and superimposed on the photographed image, selects a state (Figure 5 (d)), where a histogram of the image as one of the image information items relating to the image is displayed or state (Figure 5 (a)), where the histogram is not displayed, depending on an operation of an 'INFO' button.
