PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buttonhole so designed that a button is easy to be fastened and also the button once fastened is hard to come off, deformation of the fabric on which the buttonhole is formed, and breakage of the buttonhole itself can be reduced, and also new design can be created by making a combination with a button, and to provide various kinds of article using the buttonhole. SOLUTION: This buttonhole 10 is provided in order to fasten a button B fixed on a under fabric 13 through making the button B pass through under the rear face of an upper fabric 14 covering the under fabric 13 to be exposed on the surface of the upper fabric 14; wherein the buttonhole 10 comprises a buttonhole body 11 through which the button B passes to fasten it, and a reinforcing fabric 12 arranged on the surface of the upper fabric 14 so as to cover part of the buttonhole body 11 from the longitudinal edge part of the buttonhole body 11, the reinforcing fabric 12 is fixed to the upper fabric 14 at the longitudinal out side of the buttonhole body 11.
