PURPOSE: A method for tracking an object on moving picture data is provided to increase the accuracy of the object tracking by adopting pre-memorizing technology on the frames. CONSTITUTION: A method for tracking an object on moving picture data according to the present invention includes following steps. At the first step, a previous frame of the moving picture data is compressed by using current frame of the moving picture data. At the second step, the moving object on the fore screen is processed. At the third step, a motion vector of the object on the fore screen in the reference region of tracking is calculated. At the forth step, a search window size and a relation between the position and a reference search position are analyzed. At the fifth step, a camera operation information is extracted. At the sixth step, the object is tracked by using motion information from the third step, and the operation information of the camera from the fifth step. |
