DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DICTIONARY GENERATION AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH RECORDED DICTIONARY GENERATING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for dictionary generation which can accurately generate a dictionary of good quality between natural languages even without a translation corpus with sufficient capacity. SOLUTION: A 1st natural language-to-2nd natural language dictionary entry is taken out of a 1st natural language-to-2nd natural language dictionary storage part. A 3rd natural language dictionary entry corresponding to the 2nd natural language entry of the 1st natural language-to-2nd natural language dictionary entry is obtained from a 2nd natural language-to-3rd natural language dictionary storage part. The 2nd natural language entry of the 1st natural language-to-2nd natural language dictionary entry is replaced with this 3rd natural language entry in order to generate and store a translation dictionary of the 1st natural language to the 3rd natural language which has indexes and parts of speech of the 1st natural language and also indexes and parts of speech of the 3rd natural language as translations of 1st natural language entries in a 1st natural language-to-3rd natural language dictionary storage part.
