PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional submergence detector capable of periodically confirming its normal operation. SOLUTION: This multifunctional submergence detector is installable to a human body and detectable of whether a prescribed portion of the human body is submerged or not by being installed to the human body. This device comprises a submergence detection part 8 having a sensor part 2 detectable of the submerged state, a signal processing part 3 for processing an electric signal induced to the sensor part 2 and a power source part 4 for supplying power to the sensor part 2 and the signal processing part 3; and an additional signal processor part 10 for purposes other than the submergence detector constituted by jointly using at least one of the sensor part 2, the signal processing part 3 and the power source part 4.
