PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic meter inspection system which feeds information back to consumers and makes the information useful for the saving of resources and energy management. SOLUTION: Means for transmitting meter inspection results of consumptions of electricity, water, gas, etc., to a centralized center through a communication network are provided by consumers and the centralized center is equipped with a means which notifies each consumer of the use state of the same month of the last year through a communication network when the difference between the consumption of this month and the consumption of the same month of the last year exceeds a prescribed range.
