PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor construction capable of reducing the cogging torque, without skewing the rotor, in a synchronous motor which has a construction with a permanent magnet buried in the rotor. SOLUTION: The cogging torque is reduced by arranging the angles that the positions on the surface of a rotor where the magnetic poles 5, 6, 7, and 8 of permanent magnets arranged within the rotor switch from N to S or from N to S formed from the center of the rotor, so as be arranged at each position with unequal separation for each permanent magnet.
