PURPOSE: A DC power supply for a protector device is provided to perform always a normal operation of the protector device regardless of the charging battery error by supplying a charging power of the charging battery temporarily to the protector device when power failure is on the AC power source terminal. CONSTITUTION: A DC power supply(50) comprises an AC noise filter(51) for removing surge or noise induced from the AC power source(4), an AC detecting circuit(54) for outputting a detecting signal by detecting a power failure situation of the AC power source(4), a thermal sensor(55) for outputting a thermal signal by detecting inside temperature of the control box, a rectifying circuit(52) for outputting constant voltage by rectifying the AC power, an input converter(53) for receiving the constant voltage from the rectifying circuit and the charging voltage from the charging battery, and outputting selectively the voltage according to the predetermined control signal, an external characteristic protection circuit for receiving the constant voltage from the rectifying circuit and charging the charging battery according to the external characteristic, and a micom controller(56) for controlling the output of the input controller by receiving the detecting signal of the AC detecting circuit, and controlling the external characteristic protection circuit to charge the charging battery in optimal status.
