RADIO CIRCUIT DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio circuit device and a control method thereof where a wanted reception characteristics is realized even there exists an interfering wave of high level while the power consumption of a receiving circuit is less when there is no interfering wave. SOLUTION: The radio circuit device comprises a receiving circuit 1a which selects a signal of wanted frequency in the received signals and demodulates it, an input power detector 2 for detecting the input power of the receiving circuit 1a, a received power detector 3 for detecting a level of the signal selected with the receiving circuit 1a, and a reception control circuit 4 for controlling the receiving circuit 1a. The reception control circuit 4 increases a power consumption of a circuit contained in the receiving circuit 1a when an electric power P1 detected with the input power detector 2 is larger than a prescribed input power value t1 while an electric power P2 detected with the received power detector 3 is smaller than a prescribed received power value t3, thus a range for linear operation is wider for low-distortion operation of the receiving circuit 1a.
