PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller which is less susceptible to deterioration due to long term use, damage and wear. SOLUTION: A deformable roller 20 is used in a fusing station 100 of an electrophotographic device. The fusing station 100 is provided with a pressure roller 30 and the fusing roller 20 to fuse a toner image 111 onto a receiving member 110. The fusing roller 20 is formed from a plurality of layers around a rotational shaft. The deformable roller 20 has a rigid, cylindrical symmetrical type core member 21 and a flexible, replaceable, attachable/detachable and soft sleeve member 26. The soft sleeve member 26 surrounds the core member 21 and is in the form of a tubular belt which is in tight contact with the core member without an adhesive. |
