PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrophotographic image receiving material capable of forming an electrophotographic image having an excellent glossy feel and having a photograph-like touch. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the color electrophotographic image receiving material having a toner image receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin and >=1 kinds of wax on a base provided with thermoplastic resin layers on the front and rear surfaces of raw paper includes a process step of heating and dissolving the thermoplastic resin and >=1 kinds of the wax to the melting point of the wax in the presence of a solvent, then cooling, mixing and dispersing the resin and the wax under irradiation with ultrasonic rays, applying a resulted dispersion mixture on the base and drying the same at 40 to 150 deg.C.
