DISCHARGE LAMP, PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of easily obtaining high brightness and high luminous efficiency as well as a safe operation, even if a diamond particle having characteristics of negative electron affinity is used for the protective layer of the plasma display panel. SOLUTION: The surface of the diamond particle is coated with an amorphous carbon layer forming the supporting layer of a wall charge to materialize high luminance and high luminous efficiency and to materialize a low voltage and a safe operation at the same time. A method of easily producing the panel at the low cost is provided.
