PURPOSE: A system and a method for EC(Electric Commerce) using a network and a smart card are provided to operate even if a customer and a seller does not connects to a network and to diversify the kinds of goods and service to be provided. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a server and database(110), a first customer(120), a second customer(130), a first seller(150), a second seller(160) and a memory card recorder(170). The first customer has a first memory card(125) and the second customer has a second memory card(135). The first seller includes a first terminal(153) and a first memory card reader(155), and the second seller includes a second terminal(163) and a second memory card reader(165). The sellers provides the information of goods and service to the server(113) through the Internet. The server stores the information provided from the sellers in a database(115) and the sellers provides the information of a coupon having a merit of discount to the server. The first and second customer connects to the server through the Internet and takes the desired service information from the server.
