PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic range capable of determining whether a pot is correctly mounted in a heating region or not and whether an unheatable small article is mounted or not. SOLUTION: Ring-like light transmission windows 2 are arranged at the uniform distance on a top plate, and the presence or absence of the shadows of the pot and the number of the shadows of the pot are detected by a photosensor 4 provided below the top plate to determine whether the pot is mounted at a proper position or a dislocated position and whether the mounted pot has a small diameter, an intermediate diameter, or a large diameter. Furthermore, it determines whether the pot placed is a small article that cannot be heated. |
