PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stimulus phosphor sheet which can be exactly aligned of the stimulus phosphor sheet and exciting and detecting means in their depth direction, a radiation image information reading method and device. SOLUTION: The exciting and detecting means of a box shape provided with the grooves of the stimulus phosphor sheet having the linear grooves at both edges on their upper side and a line light source and line sensor read radiation image information from the sheet while moving the sheet in its groove direction in the state that the projections of the exciting and detecting means having the linear projections at both edges on their lower side are meshed with the grooves.
