METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING DEGREE OF DETERIORATION OF BUSHING OF TRANSFORMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of non-destructively measuring the degree of deterioration of a bushing, thus enabling the bushing to be replaced at an appropriate time regardless of its period of use. SOLUTION: A portion of the bushing 1 immersed in insulating oil is irradiated with an X-ray along a direction perpendicular to its axis and a fluoroscopic image of the irradiated portion is reflected onto an opposite sensitized film 4 and picked up with a CCD camera 5. Its digital signal is inputted to an image processor 6 and the image is either observed on a display screen or printed whereby the boundary between the portion of a hard paper core penetrated by the insulating oil and the non-penetrated portion of the core is detected and the degree of deterioration is measured.
