IMAGING DEVICE CAPABLE OF FORMING IMAGE AGREEING WITH KIND OF IMAGING CONSUMPTION ARTICLE MOUNTED INSIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device including an image forming assembly having a network connected to a remote host computer in order to obtain already updated image information concerning an imaging consumption article mounted in the device, and an imaging method. SOLUTION: This imaging device reports the kind of the consumption article and maker's lot identification to the remote computer. The remote computer responds to the imaging device by returning the specified information of a lot exerting influence on a processing parameter. In this practical case, an electrically programmable read/ write memory included in a responder is integrally attached to the package of the consumption article. The responder communicates with a responder put inside the imaging device. A transceiver has an antenna and supporting parts to perform polling with the responder. The transceiver can read manufacture data concerning the consumption article from the responder as shown by a control logic processor and simultaneously data on use and processing is transmitted to the transceiver in order to store it in the memory.
