PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient tribological characteristics between an SIL system lens and an optical recording medium and to control the position or the attitude of the SIL system lens, and resultingly the position of an optical spot on an optical recording medium in a desired way in a device for processing the optical recording medium, in which the SIL system lens is adopted. SOLUTION: The device in which information is recorded on the optical recording medium D by making use of a light beam converged at the SIL system lens 42 which has a hemispherical surface 42a and a flat surface 42b, or information recorded on the optical recording medium D is reproduced, is constituted in a manner such that the SIL system lens 42 slides on a liquid layer d2 formed on the optical recording medium D. Further, a light flux on a peripheral part (near field light element) which contributes to the generation of the near field light is separated from the light flux emitted from the SIL system lens 42, and the behavior of the SIL system lens 42 is controlled based on the state of the separated near field light beam. |
