PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach new information relating to the contents of an electronic mail text to electronic mail as relating information and to perform transfer at the time of transferring received electronic mail. SOLUTION: The transfer destination of the received electronic mail is specified and a retrieval engine to be utilized is specified (S1). After the electronic mail is received (S2), the presence/absence of the specification of the transfer destination is confirmed (S11). In the case that it is specified, a retrieval formula is generated from the contents of the received electronic mail (S4), the retrieval formula is transmitted to the specified retrieval engine and retrieval is requested (S5). After a retrieved result is received (S6), the retrieved result is added to the electronic mail (S7) and it is transferred to the specified transfer destination (S8).
