<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and a cartridge capable of making the generation rate of a discharge mark small even when conductive magnetic powder intrudes in a developing container, and making the maximum length of the discharge mark short even if the discharge mark is linearly formed. SOLUTION: In this developing device performing development with two- component non-magnetic developer consisting of non-magnetic toner and magnetic carrier, a developing sleeve 21 inside which a magnet 23 having plural magnetic poles is fixed is arranged to be opposed to an image carrier 3. When a magnetic brush consisting of the developer is formed on the sleeve 21 so as to develop an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 3, the moving directions of the image carrier 3 and the developing sleeve 21 are opposite to each other at the most proximate part of the image carrier 3 to the sleeve 21, and the peak position of magnetic force Fr by the magnet 23 in a perpendicular direction to the surface of the sleeve 21 is near the most proximate part and on a more downstream side in the rotating direction of the sleeve 21 than the most proximate part.</p> |
